Y'a un bateau qui traine un peu trop son ancre Internet Ralentissant le réseau Internet de nombreux pays du globe vers l'Europe, principalement africains et asiatiques (Maldives, Jordanie, Inde, Qatar, Djibouti, Émirats Arabes Unis, Zambie, Arabie Saoudite, Égypte, Pakistan, etc.), la rupture des trois câbles sous-marins en Méditerranée appartient désormais au passé. Ancre Raymond Croze, le navire câblier de France Télécom Marine, contenant près de 20 kilomètres de câble de rechange, s'est en effet attelé à résoudre ce problème important au cours des deux dernières semaines. Les trois câbles auraient initialement dû être parfaitement réparés avant la fin de l'année, mais des complications ont dû reporter de quelques jours le retour à la normale du réseau Internet entre l'Afrique, le Moyen-Orient, l'Asie et l'Europe. Si les ruptures des trois câbles ont « probablement été provoquées par l'ancre d'un navire » selon France Télécom, les complications, touchant le 26 décembre le premier câble pourtant réparé la veille, serait dû à un glissement de terrain, ou à un problème d'origine sismique théorise l'opérateur français. La profondeur de la seconde rupture (3000 mètres de fonds) excluait en effet la possibilité d'un problème d'ancre de bateau. Niant un quelconque acte de sabotage, France Télécom assure que « l'incident est désormais terminé et le trafic est normal ».
